The Marketing and Promotions Committee works to advance Girard Avenue as a location to work and live. A brochure was produced during 2005. Marketing services to support businesses and special event planning along the the Girard Avenue is starting during January 2006. Please see below for details.

Free Business Event: Extreme Storefront Makeovers

When: February 22, 2006 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Althea Gibson Community Education and Tennis Center 1000-38 W. Girard Ave. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19130

What: Free workshop for Girard Avenue merchants and property owners. Learn about ways to improve the appearance of your storefront, including façade improvements. Representatives from the City of Philadelphia will be available to discuss grant programs to help pay for improvements. Please RSVP to David L.
