Free design assistance for building façades and exteriors are available for businesses within the Girard Coalition, Inc. area (Girard Avenue from I-95 to N. 33rd Street). The Design Days are are held at the Girard Coalition offices at 704 W. Girard Ave. Design Days are scheduled from (10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) for 3/16/06, 6/15/06, 9/27/06 and 11/16/06. During your merchant clinic appointment you will:
- Meet with a panel of experts to include a sign-maker, architect, visual merchandiser, marketing consultant, and possibly a cost estimator (cost-estimator is not confirmed).
- Share your vision of how you want to physically improve your business.
- Receive a plan on cost effective ways to make your improvements that will include a hand-sketched picture of what your store could look like (actual plan will be provided for you one week after your appointment).
- Be on time!!! You will have exactly one hour to spend with a panel of experts. Follow-up conversations can be arranged if all your issues are not addressed in the allotted time.
- Bring at least two pictures (4x6 or bigger) of your storefront. One picture should be taken from across the street and show the buildings on both sides of your business. The other should be taken up close and show your entire storefront (from ground to roof and each side). You may also bring pictures of the inside of your business to discuss.
- Bring any ideas you may have about how to improve
your storefront as well as any issues you may have.
